What attire is needed for dance classes?
For all classes, girls are required to wear tights and a leotard. Boys are required to wear shorts and a plain t-shirt. Dancers who participate in a Ballet ONLY class are required to wear a BLACK leotard and PINK tights, boys should wear black shorts and either a dark or white solid shirt-no writing on it.
Why is dress code so important?
This is for a few reasons but the number on reason is SAFETY! We want all our dancers to be safe-which means as teachers we need to make sure we can see their correct body lines. Also, dance is an art form and part of the culture of dance is the uniform look of all dancers. It is also required that dancers have their hair secured back and out of their face. For ballet classes it is MANDATORY for dancers to have a bun.
Where can I get proper dance attire for my dancer?
Right at the studio! We are able to order shoes, tights and leotards for your dancer and you won’t have to worry about exchanges or returns if they don’t fit correctly! You can also visit us online here: www.shopnimbly.com/danceinspiraions
Do I need special dance shoes?
Yes, it is very important that dancers have the appropriate footwear for classes. Inspired kids classes need PINK ballet shoes and Tan buckle tap shoes. Jazz classes need tan jazz boots, tap classes need either tan buckle shoes OR black lace up shoes (depending on the child’s class) Ballet classes need either a pink canvas shoe or pink leather ballet shoe. We suggest purchasing your shoes from us-the shoes found at stores like Target do not have the quality or danceability that the shoes we purchase from a reputable dance supply company.
How long are classes?
Typically, classes for the younger dancers are either 30 or 45 minutes, but the time increases with stamina of the dancer. Most older dancers will take classes from 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
How is tuition broken up?
Tuition is broken up into 11 equal payments- August through June. Our recital costumes are included in tuition. Tuition is billed on the first of the month. There is a late fee of $20 it not paid before the 10th.
Will there be any other payments that need to be made besides tuition?
YES. There will be a recital package charged to your account in March, this includes all rehearsal fees at the theater
Do you have a cancelation policy?
Yes, there is a 30-day WRITTEN notice of cancelation of classes. If we do not receive a notice, tuition will continue to be charged and expected to be paid.

What types of classes do you offer?

Must all dancers participate in Recital?
It is our hope that the students take classes throughout the year and can showcase all they have learned at the recital. If there is a conflict, you must make arrangements prior to December 30th
During recital, can I take my own pictures and videos of my child?
No, but there are a few reasons why! First, it is very distracting to performers to have bright lights flashing at them from the audience when it is dark. This also creates a safety issue for the dancers and its distracting to others in the audience. Also, all dance choreography is COPYRIGHTED and it is unlawful to record it without the written permission of the studio owner. To remedy this-we offer professionally recorded DVDs as well as professional photographs available to order through the studio.
Do you offer Summer Dance Classes & Summer Camps?
Yes! We offer Summer Dance programs through the studio as well as Concord Recreation. We have a full summer dance program as well.
Do you have gift certificates?
Absolutely! We have gift certificates in any denomination by emailing office@danceinspirations.com
