Junior 1 & 2
These are the 2023/2024 fees and requirements. Auditions for the junior and senior company will held during classes August 28th - 25th.
A Junior Dancer is a dancer who is ages 9-12 by September 1st of the school year. Junior 1 is a dancer who is joining the performance company for the first time, and Junior 2 has previous experience in our Inspired or Junior Performance Company OR competition experience elsewhere.

+ PLACEMENT
Placement on the Junior 1 and Junior 2 Performance Companies are by the teachers discretion. We believe that everyone at this age should have the opportunity to participate in our performance company, and if the performance company is not the right fit for a child we offer several other opportunities to shine. If we feel that a child is not ready for the performance company we will discuss this with the child’s family and only the child’s family.
+ CLASS REQUIREMENTS
Technique classes
Junior 1
Required to take a technique class you will be “specializing” in.
Example: Tap dancers must take tap technique, Jazz dancers must take a form of jazz
Ballet is not required for Junior 1 but highly recommended.
Junior 2
All classes are determined by placement and level
Ballet Class is required and determined by placement
Technique Classes - All Junior 2 dancers are required to take a technique class they will be “specializing” in. Elective classes are strongly encouraged
Electives can include: Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Acrodance, Musical Theater Jazz
Weekly rehearsals
Weekly rehearsals will be 30 - 45 minutes in the selected style of dance which you are specializing in. This is in addition to your weekly classes. These rehearsals will take place when there is available studio time.
Summer Training Requirements
Required for Junior 2 and above. Dancers in this company must participate in a summer dance intensive or approved classes in July.
Additional Special Dance Groupings
Junior 2 dancers are eligible for additional special dances such as solos, small or large groups, productions etc.
+ PARTICIPATION COSTS
Tuition
- Monthly tuition is determined by regular class load and Dance Inspirations tuition rates for the year.
Performance Fee
- $ 495.00 for the first dance, $430.00 for each additional dance per year, fees are broken into 10 or 12 payments. These fees include 1 costume per dance, a pair of performance tights, rehearsal fee and competition fees.
+ PERFORMANCES
Parent Preview
- Typically held in February,this performance gives the dancers a chance to have a dress rehearsal prior to competitions, with a real audience. In addition, it gives you the chance to see all the dances and invite all your family, friends, and neighbors to attend. Tickets will be sold for audience members
Competitions
- The Junior 1 and Junior 2 Performance Companies will attend 3 Dance Competitions that will be held in the New England Area. Competitions will be determined by faculty and a schedule will be announced as soon as possible.
Convention
- The Junior 1 and Junior 2 Performance Companies will also attend 1 Dance Convention/workshop. Attendance at a Convention/Workshop is mandatory for these companies.

+ REHEARSAL + CLASS ATTIRE
For ALL classes, dancers are required to wear the dress code color leotard, tights and shoes. All hair must be worn up and away from their face. No jewelry or distracting attire.
+ MAKE-UP AND ACCESSORIES
Each dancer is required to purchase a pair of earrings. They cost approximately $13-$15. They will also need some basic make-up - same as recital requirements
+ TEAM WARM-UPS
Optional Dance Inspirations Performance Company warm-ups will be available for purchase.
